My Client First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how Ashley works.
Ashley has been a REALTOR® since 1993 and as a Baltimore area real estate professional, she has also found that providing the very best service is essentially about ‘putting clients first’. This means being accessible seven days a week, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. This “client first” philosophy has always been her approach and it requires Ashley to continually improve her skills and ways of doing business. In addition, using the latest technologies enables her to do everything she always did, only much more quickly and efficiently. It has helped extend the range of services provided to her clients.
At Long & Foster, Ashley has been the number 1 agent/team since 2010 for the Baltimore Region, stretching from Western Maryland to the Eastern Shore. Her sales are in excess of $25 million a year, and she strives to make each client feel like they are her only client. Because of her dedication to her craft, she has earned the distinction of gaining the status of Lifetime Member of the Masters Club, the highest honor in Long & Foster.
Ashley’s dedication extends to her professional and local community as well. She has served as an officer on the board of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® (GBBR) and as a member of the Membership & Education committees. She currently serves on the REALTOR® Political Action Committee and on the GBBR Charitable Foundation Board of Directors. Ashley has been recognized by her peers as the 2020 GBBR Community Service Award recipient, GBBR REALTOR® of the Year 2018 and GBBR Distinguished Sales Associate of the Year 2014, awarded from the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS®.
Ashley has also been the past Treasurer and Vice President of the Real Estate Million Dollar Association, Ltd., and the past President of the Baltimore Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, a National REALTOR® organization. Professional designations include CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute) and ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative) along with the national, state, and local designation of REALTOR®. Ashley has also a graduated from the GBBR Leadership Academy.
Growing up in Stoneleigh has given Ashley an affinity for her former neighborhood. She continues as an event sponsor of the Stoneleigh Community Association and the local Marines ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign coordinator at the Long & Foster Lake Roland office. Ashley is currently the president of the Dulaney Forest Community Association.
Ashley is a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Locally she attended Stoneleigh Elementary, Dumbarton Middle and Towson High School. She enjoys walking & exercising with her dog, Bunny, a Chesapeake Bay retriever.

Creating a Higher Standard in Real Estate
Ashley Richardson is extremely knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. Despite having many clients, she kept my particular search in mind and pointed out properties for consideration. She is responsive and makes you feel like you're her only client. I wouldn't consider using any...
Great service . . . . helped us to stage and sell our house in Towson in 2009 and purchase a condo in Mays Chapel . . . settled on the same day, then rented back our house for ten days which greatly simplified the move. Made the home inspection and financing process go smoothly. Took over our...
As first time home buyers, my fiance and I were a bit nervous and overwhelmed in our search for the perfect home. We searched dozens of neighborhoods from Bowie to Bel Air. Ashley was outstanding in her knowledge and expertise in properties in various counties throughout MD. She was unbelievably...
Five months have passed since Ashley sold our home in Towson, Md and the debt that we owe her has been difficult to express, and obviously overdue. I have traveled the world for business and interacted with professionals at the highest level, but never have I encountered a professional whose skill...
This spring Ashley assisted us with the sale of our home. She was consistently responsive, considerate and knowledgeable. She strongly advocated for us throughout the process, always keeping our best interest in mind. We really appreciated her approach. She was straightforward and a friendly...
Ashley listed our house for sale and showed us numerous houses to buy. Ashley is the epitome of a professional real estate agent. She has extensive knowledge of the Baltimore residential real estate market, and understands the broad range of issues that should be considered in buying or selling a...
Ashley has helped us purchase and sell three homes and a rental property. At all times the service was top notch.
After working with Ashley it was hard to think of working with anyone else. She has a great marketing strategy and has demonstrated an incredible attention to detail that exceeded our expectations.
I would recommend Ashley's assistance with selling your home.
We chose well when we chose Ashley to help us relocate to Towson from the West Coast. Her expert local knowledge was essential for us. We were in constant communication for months as we sifted through potential homes, schools and communities. She sent extra video and photos from open houses. She...
Five months have passed since Ashley sold our home in Towson, Md and the debt that we owe her has been difficult to express, and obviously overdue. I have traveled the world for business and interacted with professionals at the highest level, but never have I encountered a professional whose skill set so ideally matched their profession. Logically, if we accept that it's at least possible to be the best in a given field then it's fair to wonder who that would for realtors. I would suggest that Ashley Richardson, of Long and Foster is that person.
If I list some of the ways she's unique and superior I might be providing other Realtors inside information, but really it wouldn't matter. Some might even be smart enough to do what she does, but then they'd have to be willing to sacrifice all their free time, work for their clients 24-7, send emails at 1am, handle a hundred personal touches, personally, promise a great deal and then deliver on every promise. Even though everyone wants to be successful, very, very few people in my experience are willing to work hard enough to be the best. Ashely is also highly intelligent, a superb communicator and marketer and so plugged into the community she lives and works in that there is no problem that can arise (and there were plenty of hurdles in our deal) she hasn't dealt with before or anticipated. Whatever the issue, she knows someone who can fix your plumbing, clean the mold from your attic, re-certify your termite inspection, vent your roof, re-mediate your radon...and they will absolutely take her calls and show up. Usually the next day, regardless of what it is. You want that kind of clout, influence, and class on your side.
Ashley sold 70 houses last year. 70. That's about a house every 5 days. She's up front about that, but without a trace of arrogance. You therefore understand that you're not her only client, but in practice, she'll make you feel like you're the most important. She always stays in touch, even when the action is slow, she doesn't hide out. Instead, she keeps your spirits up. shares her marketing plans, evaluates your space throughout the process and offers her insights and advice. TAKE ASHLEY'S advice. Every once in a great while we get to interact with someone with a superior intellect and on those happy occasions, you really can share the load of countless decisions and feel like you are getting the best advice.
All this commentary is highly subjective, I know. But here's something more tangible to support my praise: We listed our house with a different agent initially. Very nice person, and someone who seemed to be big in the neighborhood. Three weeks passed and we had NO idea why buyers weren't responding to our house. We were no wiser and we were running out of time. We got the information we needed after the first couple saw our house once Ashley had listed it. How was this possible? Ashley had gotten their Realtor on the phone WHILE THEY WERE STILL IN THE CAR and she literally interrogated them, in a nice way, about their thoughts on our house. She interviewed them (and EVERYONE else who saw the house) through their realtor. She'd ask the question, the realtor would put down the phone, get the couple's response and tell Ashley. Who does that? Not I previous realtor, I can tell you that. Ashley's marketing approach, the quality of her materials and the admirable resources of her long-time staff are unique. Bear in mind that our previous realtor was very strong in the neighborhood but the difference in the quality of material, substance of content and the well-thought-out rationale behind her approach were like night and day. I know this is a very long review, but it's also the last one I'll ever be in the position to write in which I can unequivocally say: Ashley Richardson is the best, lights out, end of story. List with her, follow her advice and you will sell your house and move on with your life. Finally, it was a pleasure to work with such a fine ethical person.
